Roxbury ATV Riders will be hosting a Basic and Advanced Erosion Control Practices for Contractors, ATV Clubs and Snowmobile clubs
This course is necessary to become certified in erosion control practices by the Department. In addition to sections on “Why Erosion Control is Important” and “Erosion and How it Happens” participants are provided with information on the proper selection, installation and maintenance of practices such as sediment barriers, mulch, vegetative stabilization, riprap, etc. The course is of primary interest to contractors but could also be helpful to municipal code enforcement officers, consultants, engineers and public works employees. Most times this class is held during the week when a lot of people work.
We are doing ours on Saturday, May 30, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is reduced to $50 per person and we will feed you. We need at least 15 people. Please send checks to Roxbury ATV Riders club, PO Box 196, Roxbury, Maine 04275 before May 25. This is a great landowner relation tool, so sign up now. You can call 207-545-2715 for more info.
