Responsible Pet Care of Oxford Hills is excited to once again welcome dogs and dog lovers to their 3rd Annual Fun Dog Day on June 28 at Oxford Fairgrounds from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The day starts with an Opening Ceremony featuring the Blessing of the Dogs, followed by the fundraising Fun Dog Walk. This is a short and fun walk suitable for families, dogs, and people of all abilities. You can walk as an individual or as a team, and you don’t need to have a dog to walk. All dog lovers are encouraged to gather donations from friends, neighbors, family, and co-workers, and join in to support all the dogs cared for at the shelter. All registered walkers receive a bandana, with dog-themed prizes and T-shirts awarded for different levels of funds raised. Registration is $10 for individuals and $25 for teams. Sign-up forms are at www.rpc.petfinder.com, at the shelter at 9 Swallow Road, Paris, or on Facebook at Fun Dog Day.

A fun day is planned for everyone even if you don’t walk in the fundraising walk. Free activities throughout the day include a dog show (all dogs are winners), dog games, dog water park, pup tent (kids’ activities), working dog and agility demos, raffles, food, vendors, and educational booths. Responsible Pet Care is happy to have many local business sponsors and participants who make Fun Dog Day bigger and better every year! Many thanks to Signature Event Sponsors Norway Savings Bank and Norway Veterinary Hospital, and to Bessey’s Motor Sales for sponsoring the Dog Walk, Call of the Wild for sponsoring the Pup Tent, and Crooked River Heating and AC for sponsoring the Dog Show.

Responsible Pet Care is a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter and adoption center serving more than 700 homeless pets each year. All animals at RPC are cared for with love and respect until they go to their forever homes. All proceeds from the Fun Dog Walk will benefit the animals at the shelter.
