The Maine Mineral & Gem Museum on Main Street in Bethel added more pieces to its “sculpture garden” last week. Here, a tower of Hallowell Granite is placed in front of the museum by a crane. Said museum Director Barbra Barrett, “We are creating a an interpretive sculpture garden with signage that visitors can walk through and experience what types of rocks they might encounter in different Maine locations, all a part of the museum’s mission to bring educational exhibits outside and to represent the states geology trough different rock types.” tower
