Among the Habits of Mind TFA students are learning about is "thinking interdependently." Here, they play Pigs in a Pen. The students have four "pens" or circles of webbing and 9 "pigs," or balls. The goal of the activity is to think outside the box to find ways to rearrange the pigs and pens to have an odd number of pigs in each pen.
